This saltless water filtration system is far superior to my old, salted water softener. Not only does it soften the hardest water we have into crystal-clear drinking water, but it also fully filters our entire house. This unit is the best choice for our needs.
I’ve already recommended this to several family members and friends. If you’re handy, you can install it yourself. All you need is basic plumbing knowledge, soldering skills, and the right piping.
I also bought the 8-month filter, which is longer than the 6-month filter that comes with the unit. All the plumbers I’ve consulted have said that these filters last much longer than advertised.
Most of them suggest changing the filter as soon as the water pressure drops. I’m not sure if this seller can verify that, but it’s important to clean the mesh filter as well.
I imagine that would catch most of the lime scale and sediment. To clean the metal mesh, I would suggest submerging it in CLR and then doing a thorough cleaning. Overall, this is a great product.
